IPO Lifecycle Management (ILM) — The Category Bellipo Invented

Every IPO moves through the same arc — a first rumor, a confidential filing, a price range, the opening trade, and the months of maturity that follow. For decades, no single product covered that arc. Banks owned the deal, news owned the headline, brokers owned the trade. The space between them — the lifecycle — belonged to no one. Bellipo built the category to own it: IPO Lifecycle Management, or ILM.

What is Bellipo

Bellipo is the first platform built entirely around the IPO lifecycle — from S-1 filing to first trade, lockup expiration, and beyond. We deliver real-time pipeline tracking, AI-powered S-1 briefs, and proprietary demand scoring, plus precision alerts: PING fires when pricing becomes official — typically the evening before trading, occasionally the morning of, always before the open — carrying the final offer price. STRIKE fires the instant the first trade prints. Retail investors get to prepare for IPO day with the same intelligence institutions take for granted.

A Category, Not a Feature

Salesforce didn't just sell software — it named CRM and made every competitor describe themselves in its terms. ILM is the same move. It isn't an IPO calendar, a news feed, or an alert app. It's a single framework that manages an offering from the first signal to post-IPO maturity, the way CRM manages a customer from first touch to renewal.

Naming the category is how you own it. Once you see the IPO as a lifecycle instead of a single date on a calendar, every existing tool starts to look like it's covering one slice of a much bigger picture.

The Six-Layer Stack

ILM runs on six layers, each feeding the next:

  1. Ingestion — SEC EDGAR, Finnhub, Polygon, and FMP, reconciled and hand-verified by the Bellipo team.
  2. Data — every IPO, every detail, on one public page that's free and indexed.
  3. Research — hand-written Dossiers that read the filing, not the press release.
  4. Scoring — proprietary measures like BDI, LPI, and the Market Heat Index.
  5. Lifecycle — the RADAR · READY · PING · STRIKE · ORBIT engine that tracks each deal's stage.
  6. Alerts — web push and email, fired by lifecycle events, never on a fixed schedule.

Most tools stop at one layer. A calendar is data. A news app is alerts. ILM is the only stack that connects all six into one continuous record.

What Everyone Else Gets Wrong

The market is split between two extremes, and both leave the retail investor stranded.

On one end sit the institutional terminals. They cost more than a car, and their IPO coverage is one command buried inside hundreds — never built around the lifecycle, never meant for a retail investor, and not designed to wake you up the moment a stock opens. The legacy IPO research shops are no better: static reports, no real-time signal, no retail access, and a price tag that assumes you manage a fund.

On the other end sit the free retail tools. The data dumps show a stale date and an outdated screen, and some have simply gone dark. Brokers will let you request shares, but their alerts are unreliable and routinely arrive after the opening move is over. None of them treats the IPO as anything more than a single row in a table.

So the gap is wide and obvious: there has never been a product built end-to-end around the offering itself — one that surfaces the rumor, verifies the data, writes the research, scores the demand, tracks the stage, and fires the alert the second it matters. That gap is exactly what ILM fills.

Why I Built It

This category didn't start as a business plan. It started as frustration. Bellipo's founder spent time inside the institutional world early in his career, then went back to investing like everyone else — and kept missing the moment that mattered. The opening trade would come and go while he stared at a broker app that told him nothing, or worse, told him hours too late.

It wasn't a judgment problem. It was a tools problem. The price-alert hacks didn't work. The data was scattered across half a dozen sources that never agreed. The institutions had a desk watching the open in real time, and retail had a refresh button and a guess.

The realization was simple: nobody was managing the IPO as a lifecycle. So we built the system that does — and gave it a name. ILM is the product that should have existed all along.

The Bottom Line

ILM is how Bellipo turns a scattered, multi-source mess into one timeline you can actually follow — from first rumor to the opening trade to the lockup that follows. Create a free account to watch the lifecycle work on every IPO in the pipeline.
